Samsung has tried to win over all kind of customers by producing handsets such as Galaxy S as well as budget phones like Samsung E1172.Slowly and gradually people have started taking Samsung’s mobile seriously as it has something to offer to everyone. This mobile is one of the cheapest in terms of its price.
E1172 is an entry level handset which provides with a dual SIM capability. Its 1.52 inches display screen might not be too big but produces a decent 128×128 pixel count. It would be unfair to expect more from a handset which is priced at such an affordable tag. The 3×4 keypad is embedded with well spaced out keys. The most surprising feature is the 1500mAh battery which allows around 8 hrs of talk time opposed to the 12 hrs which Samsung claims. But still, going by the reputation of Samsung when it comes to the battery, this seems like a great development. There is a fun feature called the fake call which helps one to generate fake calls and is one feature included in most Samsung handsets including Corby.
There is no camera in the phone, but the music player does a decent job. There are no connectivity options which allow one to connect to the internet. One has to be careful about the exterior as over a period of time, the paint tends to rub off the edges as well as the keys. There is absolutely no scope of expanding the memory which can be counted amongst the drawbacks of E1172.
It comes with its negatives, but the battery wins this handset a lot of customers. Not a bad choice at a price like this.
