Daily newspaper for iPad might launch on January 17 2011

Online sources are indicating that News Corporation would launch their exclusive online newspaper named Daily next month.


Daily would be launched on the Apple iPad platform on January 17 next year.

The company was hoping to be the first one to launch an exclusive digital newspaper for tablets but Virgin Media beat them to it with their own edition named Project.

Daily was earlier expected to launch within this month but apparently it has been delayed by a couple of weeks.
The company is hoping to use a new technology to generate revenues from the service by offering payments through iTunes. Customers would be billed automatically through their Apple iTunes account for new editions.
